The Hitachi Zaxis 135US is a tracked excavator weighing approximately 14,000 kg from 2016, with 7,000 working hours, blade and enclosed cab. The US designation indicates the short swing radius version: the superstructure remains almost within the track width, allowing the machine to work close to walls, fences and roadways without requiring road closure.

Compared to a 12-tonne machine, it offers greater digging force and stability with heavy loads, while still being transportable on a standard lowboy trailer.
